Two Robberies in the Same Week at Germantown Transit Center

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Feb. 9 through Feb. 17.

    MCPD report that an armed robbery occurred in during the late morning at the Germantown Transit Center at 19945 Aircraft Drive in Germantown on Friday, Feb. 13 at 11:40 am. According to police, the suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

   This is the second robbery at the Germantown Transit Center in same week. Last week, MCPD reportedly arrested a 15-year-old Germantown male in connection with an attempted robbery which occurred at the Transit Center earlier that same week on Monday, Feb. 8.

   Police report a residential burglary in the 12500 block of Middlebrook Road in Germantown between Monday, Feb. 2 and Monday, Feb. 16. Police report forced entry but nothing taken.

   A residential burglary also occurred in the 1300 block of Prices Distillery Road in Clarksburg on Monday, Feb. 16 between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Police report the male suspect forced entry into the residence and stole property.

   A commercial burglary occurred at the Sunoco located at 19235 Frederick Road in Germantown between Sunday, Feb. 8 and Thursday, Feb. 12. Police report forced entry and property taken.

   An aggravated assault occurred in the 11600 block of Bedford Court in Germantown on Sunday, Feb. 12 between 2:30 am and 2:45 am. The suspect is known to the victim.

   There were four thefts from vehicles that occurred on the N1 beat during this reporting period. Incidents occurred on Crystal Rock Drive and Century Boulevard in Germantown. Items taken included tools and tool kits. The N1 Beat includes the area north of the MARC train tracks and south of Route 270 between Little Bennett Lake and Great Seneca State Park.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Feb. 27.
