Strong-Arm Robbery at the Movies

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from January 26 through Feb. 10.

   MCPD reported a strong-arm robbery occurred at the Regal Theater at 20000 Century Boulevard in Germantown across the street from the District 5 Police Station on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 4:00 pm. Police say a black male suspect assaulted the victim.

   Another strong-arm robbery took place in the 13000 block of Woodcutter Circle in Germanton on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 8:00 pm. Police say a five-foot, eight-inch, 165 pound, black, male suspect wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and black pants assaulted the victim and stole property.

   Police have arrested at 15-year-old Germantown male in connection with an attempted robbery occurred at the Germantown Transit Center, 19945 Aircraft Drive in Germantown on Monday, Feb. 8 at 3:00 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

   Police have arrested two men in connection with a residential burglary which occurred in the 18000 block of Pine Ridge Lane in Germantown on Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 10 pm. Police arrested a 33-year-old male from Philadelphia and a 39-year-old male from St. Charles, Mo.

   MCPD report a residential burglary in the 13000 block of Daventry Way in Germantown on Tuesday, Feb. 3 between 8:45 am and 8:00 pm. Forced entry and property was taken.

   Police say a weapons offense occurred in the 20000 block of Bloomingville Court in Germantown between Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27. According to police, a bullet hole was found in a residence.

   A residential burglary occurred in the 12000 block of Grey Eagle Court in Germantown on Thursday, 2/5 between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

   MCPD have arrested a 15-year-old Germantown girl in connection with a commercial burglary at the Neelesville Presbyterian Church on Fredrick Road on Monday Feb. 2 between 3:00 am and 8:30 am. Unknown entry and property was taken.

  Police report a commercial burglary at the Sky Kitchen at 9805 Main Street in Damascus on Tuesday, Jan. 27 between 1:00 am and 1:30 am. Forced entry and property was taken.

   Also on Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Damascus, police report an aggravated assault took place in the 25000 block of Tralee Court at 2:00 pm. The suspect is known to the victim.

   A residential burglary occurred in the 19000 block of Staleybridge Road in Germantown on Thursday, Feb. 5 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

   Investigators from the Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service and police department are looking into the possibility that a fire at 12139 Skip Jack Drive was intentionally set after the residence was burglarized.  The residential burglary and possible arson incident occurred in the 12139 Skip Jack Drive in Germantown on Saturday, Feb. 7 just after midnight. Forced entry; unknown if anything was taken

   Police have arrested a 22-year-old male from Suitland in connection with nine thefts from vehicles which occurred on Rosebay Court, Middlebrook Road, Shamrock Glen Circle, and Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown. Items taken included a laptop, a GPS, a passport, credit cards, gift cards, cash, and cigarettes.

    Two thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between Wednesday, Jan. 28 and Thursday, Jan.29.Incidents occurred on Bronco Court in Germantown. Items taken included a purse, wallet, credit cards and cash.

    A theft from vehicle occurred in the 18000 block of Lark Song Terrace in Germantown between Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Thursday, Jan. 29. There were no signs of forced entry with a GPS and change taken.

   A theft from vehicle occurred in the unit block of Highstream Court in Germantown overnight Saturday, Jan. 31 into Sunday, Feb. 1. There were no signs of forced entry with a laptop taken.

   There were 10 vehicle-related thefts in on the M1 Beat, from Feb. 2 to Feb. 10. Incidents occurred on Bent Creek Terrace, Arrowleaf Court, Tewkesbury Terrace, Tall Cedar Way, Doxdam Terrace, Dragonfire Way, Hourglass Way, Scottsbury Terrace and Theseus Terrace in Germantown. Items taken included an iPhone, headphones, a backpack, cash, a credit card, gift cards, and a wallet.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Feb 20.
