Germantown Residents Make College Dean’s Lists

A number of Germantown residents have been named to Dean’s Lists of various colleges and universities.

   Among those making the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology are; Rodgers Kipsang, a second-year student in the biomedical sciences program; Cindy Gomez Silva, a second-year student in the computer engineering program;  Emily Fisher, a third-year student in the film and animation program;  Tyler Gerber, a fourth-year student in the game design and development program; and Daniel Liu, a third-year student in the mechanical engineering program.

   Twelve Germantown residents have been named to the Dean’s List at Stevenson University, in Owings Mills. They are Sade Lucas, Johann Giuseppe Umali, Claudia Montes, David Warner, Kiara Ames, Alexandra Nesselt, Kairy Carbonell, Ashley Stept, Andrea Ventura, Justin Herbert, Golda Ntali, and Laura Duenas.

   Clemson University announced that Germantown resident Andrew Edward Mlynarczyk has been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester.

   Germantown resident Melissa Bible, a junior majoring in Early Childhood Education, was among the students at Coastal Carolina University who made the Fall 2014 Dean's List.

   Two students from the Germantown area have been named to the Dean’s List at Wake Forest University they are Sam Sherman and Danielle Rosenfeld.

Marysa Kamleu, of Germantown, has been named to the fall 2014 dean's list at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall semester of 2014.

   Wilkes University, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa has named Johnny Jan of Germantown to the Dean’s List for Fall 2014.

   The following students from the area have been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University in recognition of outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2014 semester; Joshua Aman, with the distinction of a 4.0 grade point average; Marcos Crabtree, with the distinction of a 4.0 grade point average; and Victoria Veirs, with the distinction of a 4.0 grade point average.

   The following Germantown-area students attending Frostburg State University have also achieved outstanding academic achievement, Lucas Da Costa e Silva, Marie-Pierre Diomi, Nicole Dorgan, Keegan Johnson, Aeon Lee-Clements, Jocelin Leukeu, Kito Pace, Aleya Pierce, Esteban Salazar, and Joshua Tabora.

   The following students from the Germantown area have made the dean's list at James Madison University for the fall 2014 semester. Rachel Jones, a senior majoring in Theatre and Dance; Elizabeth Joseph, a freshman majoring in Nursing; and Miranda Steinbeck, a junior majoring in Comm. Sciences & Disorders.

   Hofstra University announced that Aubrey Bell and Taylla Smith of Germantown have been named to its Dean's List for Fall 2014.

   Austin Von Heeringen of Germantown has been named to Springfield College Dean's List, Von Heeringen is studying Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy.

Mary Baldwin College has named Germantown resident Precious Parker to the Fall 2014 Dean’s List.

   Germantown resident, Christine Marie Pellack, has been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the fall 2014 semester. Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.9 or above. Pellack is a senior whose major is Justice Studies.

   Mount St. Mary's University announced that the follow Germantown residents have earned dean's list honors for the fall 2014 semester. They Include: Meghry Awakian, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Hovsep Awakian; Alejandra Diaz, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Gustavo Diaz; James Larkin, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Sean Larkin; Kevin McCarthy, the son of Ms. Gerianne McCarthy and Mr. Patrick McCarthy; Erin McGuire, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Frank McGuire; and Tonia Nicol, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Rodney Nicol.
