Delivery Person Escapes Holdup

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in the Germantown area from Jan. 12 through Jan. 20.

   MCPD reported an attempted armed robbery of a food delivery man on the 21000 block of Manor Crest Lane on Wednesday, Jan. 14 between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm. The suspect threatened the victim implying that he had a handgun, and demanded all the victim’s money. The delivery man was able to get into his vehicle and leave the scene before turning over any money or property. The suspect wore a neoprene ski mask and black hooded sweatshirt.

   A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot at the Dunkin Donuts at 12915 Wisteria Drive in Germantown on Sunday, Jan. 18 at pm. The suspect is known to the victim.

Police reported two incidents of men exposing themselves in Germantown. Both incidents happened on Friday, Jan 16. The first was a man riding a Ride-On bus was arrested for exposing himself on the bus. The man was arrested in front of Regal Movie Theaters at 20000 Century Boulevard.

   The second sex offense occurred in the Gunners Lake area at Wisteria Drive and Sky Blue Drive. Police have arrested a 20-year-old man from Germantown in connection to this incident which occurred at 5:50 pm on Friday, Jan. 16.

Police report 16 incidents of thefts from vehicles from Jan. 12 to Jan. 20.

   Three thefts from vehicles and one attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the M1 Beat. The incidents occurred on Seneca Meadows Parkway, Panther Ridge Drive, and Notting Hill Way in Germantown. Items taken include cash, purses, wallets, clothing, a spare key and gift card.

   Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the M Beat. The incidents occurred on Hawks Nest Lane, Village Green Circle, and Milestone Center Drive in Germantown. Items taken included checks, a laptop, an iPhone charger and clothing.

   Police reported that 13 thefts from vehicles occurred on the N1 Beat. Incidents occurred on Crystal Rock Drive, Walnut Cove Circle, Port Haven Drive, Misty Meadow Terrace, Willow Spring Court, Wisteria Drive, Spinning Wheel Drive, and Deerwater Drive in Germantown. Items taken included cash, an ice scraper, a pocket knife, phones, iPods, a charger, a television, purses, jewelry, building materials and clothing.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Jan. 29.
