January 21, 2015

Jesse Irvin, Athletic Director at Seneca Valley announced that seniors Amy Ingram and Jerry Hernandez have been named the Seneca Valley Scholar Athletes for the Month of December.

Ingram is the captain of the poms team. She currently has a 4.0 GPA and consistently has one of the highest GPAs on the team. “Amy always has a positive attitude and is a great motivator for her teammates,” said Irvin. “She is extremely dedicated to her education and she carries this passion over to Poms. She is a true example of a Screaming Eagle Student Athlete.”

Hernandez is a senior on the wrestling team with a 3.6 GPA. “He attends all events even when injured or not feeling well,” said Irvin. “Jerry gives 100 percent at all times and never argues or questions the coaches. He is a leader in practice, at matches, and off of the mat.”
