Commercial Burglary Leads Police Blotter

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Dec. 22 through Dec. 30.

   MCPD report that Love My Car Carwash at 19600 Walter Johnson Drive in Germantown was the victim of a commercial burglary overnight between Friday, Dec. 26 and Saturday, Dec. 27. It is unknown how the burglar(s) entered the building, but property was taken. Police say the suspect(s) also vandalized the property.

   Police report that four residential burglaries also occurred between Tuesday, Dec. 23 and Sunday, Dec. 28. The first took place in the 12000 block of Stage Coach Drive in Germantown between Tuesday, Dec. 23 and Thursday, December 25. Police report forced entry to the residence, but it is unknown if anything was taken.

   The second in the 20500 block of Lowfield Drive in Germantown over the weekend between Friday, Dec. 26 and Sunday, Dec. 28. In this case police say there was forced entry in to the residence and property was taken.

   The third residential burglary took place on the 20200 block of Shipley Terrace in Germantown overnight Saturday, Dec. 27 into Sunday, Dec. 28. This is another case of forced entry into the property and property was taken.

   Police are looking for a suspect in connection with the fourth residential burglary, which occurred in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown on Saturday, Dec. 27 between 10:00 pm and 11:30 pm. The suspect is a black male, wearing a baseball cap, a black hooded jacket, and black Nike boots. Forced entry and property was taken.

   MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Jan. 10.
