Two Stolen Cars Lead Police Blotter
Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Dec. 8 through Dec. 16.
Two stolen cars lead this week’s police blotter. According to Montgomery County Police, the first vehicle theft occurred in the 19600 block of Rhinestone Drive in Germantown overnight between Wednesday, Dec. 10 and Thursday, Dec. 11.
The second vehicle was stolen between Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13 in the 19700 block of Teakwood Circle in Germantown, according to MCPD. No further information was available.
MCPD report that a residential burglary occurred on the 23200 block of Rainbow Arch Drive in Clarksburg overnight between Monday, Dec. 8 and Tuesday, Dec. 9. No forced entry, but property was taken.
Police also report a residential burglary on the 13200 block of Orsay Street in Clarksburg, on Saturday, Dec. 14 between 5:45 am and 6:30 am. The suspect in this case is known to the victim.
MCPD are also reporting a residential burglary which occurred at 11804 Boland Manor Drive in Germantown overnight between Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 12. No forced entry, but property was taken.
A fourth residential burglary occurred in the 12700 block of Sesame Seed Court in Germantown on Monday, Dec. 15 at 1:00 am, according to MCPD. In this case, there was forced entry, but nothing was taken. The suspects are known to the victim.
Police report four thefts from vehicles during the week on the M1 Beat in Germantown. Incidents occurred on Frederick Road, Queens Cross Lane, Drumcastle Court and Drumcastle Terrace in Germantown. A car radio, iPod, change, and sunglasses were targeted.
MCPD also reported 13 thefts from vehicles throughout the N1 Beat. The N1 Beat includes the area north of the MARC train tracks and south of Route 270 between Little Bennett Lake and Great Seneca State Park. Incidents occurred on Jamieson Drive, Bonmark Court, Tilford Way, Crusader Court, Red Rocks Drive, Crazy Quilt Court, Ashleigh Greene Road, Harmony Woods Lane, Kitchen House Way, Smoke House Court and Caravan Drive in Germantown. Items stolen in these incidents included a coffee maker, car keys, money, a GPS unit, books, knives, credit cards and a driver’s license.
MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Dec. 26.
