Kingsview Middle School Substitute Teacher Under Investigation

December 13, 2014

By Kevin O’Rourke

A substitute teacher at Kingsview Middle School in Germantown is under investigation by Montgomery County Public Schools for looking at inappropriate material in class, according to news reports.

WJLA News is reporting that multiple students reported the unnamed substitute teacher was seen looking at inappropriate material on a computer in the classroom. The substitute was immediately removed from the classroom. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.

This report comes one day after the MCPS released the schools at which John Epps Jr. worked over the last six months. Epps Jr. is the MCPS contractor who allegedly inappropriately touched a female student while he was working at John T. Baker Middle School in October.

The list release by MCPS includes 58 schools in Montgomery County, four of which are in Germantown.  Epps Jr. worked at Great Seneca Creek Elementary School on Aug. 20 and 25. He also worked at McNair Elementary on Aug. 19 and 20. He was working at Neelsville Middle School on Sept. 9 and at Seneca Valley High School on June 25 and 26.
