Armed Robbery at Bank ATM

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Nov. 24 through Dec. 2.

   An armed robbery occurred at an ATM located at the Bank of America on 19707 Germantown Road in Germantown on Thursday, Nov. 27 at 5:30 pm. The suspect at white male approximately 30 years-old, six-feet tall, 225 pounds was wearing all back, with a black scarf covering his nose and mouth threatened the victim by poking the victim in the back with a some sort of weapon to obtain property. According to police, the victim did not specifically see a weapon.

   MCPD report a strong-arm robbery occurring in the 13400 block of Demetrias Way in Germantown on Monday, Dec. 1 at 9:30 pm. The suspects are known to the victim.

   A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 26, between 6:00 am and 1:00 pm in the 12300 block of Quail Woods Drive in Germantown. Police report that there was no forced entry, but property was taken.

   An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12800 block of Longford Glen Drive in Germantown between Sunday, Nov. 30 and Monday, Dec. 1. Police report that this was an attempted forced entry, but nothing was taken.

   MCPD report a number of thefts from vehicles for the week, including three between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm on Saturday, Nov. 29. Incidents occurred on Neerwinder Street, Neerwinder Place and Anndyke Way in Germantown. Items taken included a wallet, GPS and cash were taken.

   Three more thefts from vehicles were reported on Brundidge Terrace and Gunners Drive in Germantown. Vehicles were left unlocked and sunglasses and credit cards were taken.

   On Wednesday. Nov. 26 at about 2:00 pm a theft from vehicle occurred on the 20000 block of Sweetgum Circle in Germantown. The suspect is known to the victim.

   Another theft from vehicle occurred on Tuesday, Dec. 2 between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm in the 19800 block of Century Boulevard in Germantown. The vehicle was unlocked and credit cards were stolen.

  MCPD report another theft from vehicle occurred overnight between Wednesday, Nov. 26 and 4:00 pm on Thursday, Nov. 27 in the 12400 block of Crystal Rock Terrace in Germantown. The vehicle was unlocked and a GPS unit was stolen.

  MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Dec. 12.
