Architects and Artisans Needed at Black Hills

December 12, 2014

Black Hills Regional Park is hosting two programs that will allow participants to use nature to get their creative juices flowing.

The first is Nature Architects on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm participants will venture into different park habitats to design and construct things using natural objects and materials. What they’ll do will depend on the weather and the things we can find. Come dressed for the weather and ready to get dirty. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register and pay for all attendees, for ages 3 to 12.  The coast is $5 or $4 for Friends of Black Hill Park. Register at http://ParkPASS.org the registration number is 302301.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, the Visitor’s Center will host a Pine Cone Art session from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, with easy-to-make seasonal crafts that you can make and take home. Turn them into owls, squirrels or whatever else you can think of. These can make great ornaments, too! No registration required; drop in anytime during program hours! Fee is per craft; exact change is appreciated. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
