Night Hike at Black Hills Park

December 2, 2014

Take a hike at night this Friday at Black Hills Regional Park in Germantown. On Friday, Dec. 5 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm volunteers will conduct a hike around the park to look and listen for creatures that are most active at night, by the light of the full moon.

“Join us for a moonlit stroll through Black Hill Regional Park. We'll call for owls, test our night time senses, and enjoy the moon's reflection on Little Seneca Lake. Dress warmly and please, no flashlights,” says the MyGreenMontgomery.org website promoting the hike. Meet at the gravel parking lot across from the boat ramp on Black Hill Road. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please register and pay for all attendees. FOBH $6/$4; Ages six and up.

Registration is a must and can be done through the ParkPASS system at
