The National Weather Service in Baltimore/Washington has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow for the Germantown area. The advisory is in effect from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 24.

Expect snow accumulations of two inches to five inches in the in the far northern and western suburbs of Washington and Baltimore. Accumulations to the east near Interstate 95 should just be a coating, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm will begin as rain and change to snow between 8:00 am and 11:00 am Wednesday morning. The heaviest snow will occur between through 2:00 pm Wednesday, and taper off late in the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low to middle 30s, with winds 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.
