On Friday morning, Oct. 31, the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will offer free flu mist clinic at Seneca Valley High School, in Germantown to health Montgomery County Public School students. The free clinic will be held from 9:00 am until noon. These are the mist vaccines which are given through the nose.
Parents or guardians must make appointments for their child to receive a free vaccination on Friday. To make an appointment call 311 or go to the county’s website.
There is no charge for vaccinations. The clinic is a partnership between Montgomery County Health and Human Services and Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene
Also, the MCDHHS will also provide Flu vaccines at the Germantown Health Center at 12900 Middlebrook Road in Germantown on Nov. 6 and Nov. 20 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am ,for anyone age six months and older. These flu shots will be given by appointment only.
Please bring your insurance card to the clinic. The County will bill your health insurance company for the cost of the vaccine (you will NOT have a co-pay at the clinic). For Individuals without health insurance, there will be a $20.00 fee based on the Maryland State Poverty Sliding Scale; payable by cash or check.
