Germantown Man Sentenced to Seven Years for Sexual Abuse


A Germantown man will serve seven years in prison for sexually abusing a 14 year-old girl.

Daniel Sirotkin, 31, of Autumn Harvest Court in Germantown, was sentenced on Wednesday by Montgomery County Judge Richard E. Jordan to 35 years. The judge suspended all but seven years. Sirotkin must also register as sex offender and will serve five years of probation after his release.

Sirotkin, who was the girl’s coach and tutor pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor, soliciting a minor to produce child pornography and third-degree sex offense. According to court documents, the abuse took place from 2011 until 2013.

According to police, Sirotkin was hired by parents to coach and tutor students from several private and public schools in the Bethesda and Potomac areas.
