Catherine Hoggle Charged With Child Neglect

September 14, 2014

By Kevin O’Rourke

As friends and family gathered in Germantown for a vigil to pray for the safe return of her children last night, Catherine Hoggle was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and officially charged with two counts of child neglect and obstruction and hindering. The 27 year-old mother of missing Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, refuses to tell investigators the whereabouts of her children, but has said that children are alive and the “kids are safe.” However, this statement has not been verified by police.

Late last night, MCPD released information that Hoggle attempted to flee while she was apprehended on Friday night, and that she was wearing the same clothes she was seen wearing in the video from Chik-Fil-A. She was also found with a "Missing Persons" flyer containing her photo and photos of her children Jacob and Sarah Hoggle

Police also released a new photo of Hoggle showing that she had cut her hair while she was attempting to elude police last week.

Police search teams plan to concentrate efforts in the Darnestown area and have identified eight search locations where investigators believe that Catherine Hoggle visited in recent days.
