Labor Day Weekend Fun in MoCo Parks

August 29, 2014

As Labor Day weekend hits Montgomery County Parks in and around Germantown have a few cool options for family fun.

The Splash Playground at South Germantown Recreational Park will be open all weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The park is also home to an 18-hole miniature golf course and a Driving Range also open all weekend.

The visitor’s center at Black Rock Regional Park is hosting a free Outdoor Classroom Explore-a-Thon  Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to noon for children ages three to 12 to explore the outdoors searching for spineless wonders, digging in the dirt and jumping like frogs. Dress for outdoor weather, and pack water and a snack. Register at www.ParkPASS.org. The course numbers are 281706 and 281707.
