Germantown Library Announces September Events

The Germantown Branch of the Montgomery County Public Library will host a number of events in September, ranging from learning to plant cultivate plants to cultivating a seed for reading success.

The library will offer a new program on the ins and outs of using the library’s online resources on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm at the upper level. The program will cover how to renew library materials, set up email notifications, find practice test preparation materials, and create an eResume.

A Beginning Sign Language course will be offered on Sundays beginning Sept. 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. The five session class requires online registration which will open on Sept. 10. The course is co-sponsored by MCAHIC.

The library will host an African American Book Club on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 3 pm. While on the first Tuesday of each month the library will host the Novel Views Book Discussion from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

The English Conversation Club will meet to practice speaking English in a friendly setting on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 am to 12 noon, and on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
