Germantown Police Blotter

Montgomery County Police Department reported a number of criminal incidents in Germantown from Monday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 18.

The Montgomery County Police website reported an attempted residential burglary on the 20000 block of Sweetgum Circle at 3 am on Monday, July 7. The attempted forced entry burglary occurred at around 3 am, however nothing was taken, according to MCPD.

Also on Monday, July 7, a residential burglary occurred on the 13300 block of Dovedale Way in Germantown at 12:30 am. No forced entry was reported and nothing was taken, according to MCPD.

MCPD also reported ten thefts from vehicles throughout what MCPD refers to as the N1 Beat, which includes the area north of the MARC train tracks and south of Route 270 between Little Bennett Lake and Great Seneca State Park. MCPD reports that in three of the ten thefts, force was used to enter the vehicles. The ten incidents resulted in theft of property ranging from cash, a purse, tools and auto radios, according to MCPD.

MCPD reminds residents that additional incidents may have occurred and the reports had not yet been received at the time of publication, on Friday, July 18
