Holy Cross Germantown Hospital is looking for volunteers who are willing to transport doctors, nurses and other healthcare providers safely to the hospital when there's inclement winter weather. During winter storm events involving ice or snow, doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals are needed to continue providing vital and lifesaving care to patients at our health facilities
Recently opened Holy Cross Germantown Hospital has announced the birth of the first baby to be born on the hospital. The baby boy, Maxim Gabriel Velencia, was born at 4:30 am on Sunday, Oct. 5 weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces. The baby was born to Gaithersburg residents Cemile and Byron Velencia and had two older siblings, a brother Aiden, 7, and a sister Mila, 5. The baby was delivered by Dr. Leslie Masiky, MD of Potomac Obstetrics & Gynecology. The hospital, which opened Oct. 1,
